XIII. The Simple Remedy

Memory Text: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…”

Matt.28:19,20

1. If the simple commands of Jesus Christ are disregarded,

    will that lead to greater disobedience to the Gospel of

    salvation?

Luke 16:10-15  He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and _____  _______  ____  _________  ____  ______  __________  ____  ________  _________  ____  ________. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?  No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve GOD and mammon. And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided Him. And He said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but GOD knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed before men is abomination in the sight of GOD."

         Historically, it is seen that one wrong step usually leads to another.  And the steps leading to sin are rarely if ever retraced. “…And sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” Ja.1:15.

2. Are Catholicism and Protestantism united in defiance

     against the Ten Commandments of Jesus Christ?

Luke 4:16  And He [Jesus] came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, ____  ______  ___________  ______, He went into the synagogue ____  ______  ___________  ______ and stood up for to read.

I John 2:6  He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, _______  ____  ____  ___________.  

         Christ kept holy the seventh-day Sabbath “according to the commandment,” and the church is called to "walk even as He walked."  And yet, there exists a selfish pick and choose theology that denies Christ's admonition, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of GOD” (Matt.4:4).  By the church promoting ancient sins of pagan idolatry this only serves to bolster their defiance to the Gospel of Christ.  And this apostasy guarantees that they are betraying their trust as good stewards.

3. Why is the issue over Sabbath keeping so important?

Luke 16:17  And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than ______  ___________  ____  ______  _______  ____  _________.

John 8:58  Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, ____  ______.

         Jesus gave to the world the Ten Commandments.  The Bible teaches that Jesus was the Father’s Chosen Vessel to establish all things.  The leading attribute of GOD, Who became “the Christ,” is that of “Creator.”  Over 800 verses of Scripture verify this.  And there is only one Commandment that honors Jesus as our Creator, and now Saviour: the 4th Commandment: the law that men in the church have dishonored for nearly eighteen centuries.  To the GOD-fearing Christian, the Seventh-day Sabbath represents a sacred time, a time to enter GOD’S Rest knowing that He created all things, and that He pledges the eternal happiness of every creature formed by His Word. GOD has provided everything that will meet the needs of His children forever.  And this includes salvation.  This is why Jesus said, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.” Mk.2:27,28.  Keeping holy the Sabbath day truly represents the Christian’s faith in Jesus Christ: resting in Him to fulfill all that He has said He will do.  “Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.” Ex.31:13.  Who sanctifies us? GOD.  So, the Sabbath is the sign or seal of our faith in GOD’S promise to live out the solemnity of His Law in us.  The Sabbath is the Christian’s seal of faith in Christ’s Righteousness; and therefore, it is “the seal of God.”

4.   Will the Seventh-day Sabbath be honored in the New

Earth?

Isaiah 66:22,23  For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. (v.23) And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from _____  ____________  ____  ____________, shall _____ flesh come _____  ____________ before me, saith the LORD.

         Through all eternity, intelligent beings will enter the Holy Rest of GOD: the day of His resting in His joy of providing, securing, and preserving the fulfilling of every essential need and desire of His children.  “That your joy might be full” has always been GOD’S desire for His children.  From Eternity Past those words have always stood.

5. In spite of all the evidence overturning our religious

     leaders’ views that stand condemned before the love and

     Law of GOD, what is the predominant decision of today's

     Christian, which will cause their eternal ruin?

1. Samuel 8:4,5  Then _____  _____  _________  ____  _________ gathered themselves together and came to Samuel unto Ramah, And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: _____  ________  _____  ____  __________  ____  ___________  ____ like all the nations.

         When the responsibility for your salvation is placed in the hands of another, you become a party to all decisions made under their jurisdiction. This includes government leaders as well as our religious leaders.  The dangers lay in the sins they commit.  In the animal kingdom we see the end result when the herd follows their leader off a cliff.  Or lemmings, when they purposely drown themselves in the sea.  As an example among men, review what Adolf Hitler led his country to become during the Nazi regime.  In a few short years he led the German people to be held responsible for the murder of an estimated 50,000,000 men, women and children.  History tells of the same number of people that were murdered under the pope of Rome through the long centuries of his ignominious rule.

6. What is GOD'S response to anyone who chooses to have

     men rather than GOD to lead them?

1. Samuel 8:7  And the LORD said unto Samuel, ___________ unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but _______  _______  ____________  _____ that I should not reign over them.

         Liberty of conscience lies at the heart of GOD'S salvation.  One's freedom to choose, GOD will never remove.  The greatest gift next to life is the joy of having and exercising our freewill.  It is the means GOD uses to win the hearts of His children: “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly, or of necessity: for GOD loveth a cheerful giver.” II Corinthians 9:7.

7. Concerning this issue of people’s blind trust in others for

     their personal salvation, what is a repeated admonition

     GOD calls our attention to?

Psalm 146:3  Put not your trust in ____________, ______  ____  ______  ______  ____  ______, in whom there is ____  _________.

         In spite of this counsel, America’s religious leaders declare, “The Pope is the best hope we Baptists have.”—Jerry Falwell. “The pope is the spiritual leader of the world.”—Billy Graham.  Why is the pope so highly revered by Christians when the Bible warns everyone to never entrust their salvation to any sinful man, let alone one who promotes sin?  Three reasons explain the bitter fruits of spiritual blindness: 

1. “They received not the love of the truth that they might be saved.” II Thess.2:10. 

        2. When they fail in their responsibility they can blame another. 

3. Said the LORD, “They have rejected Me that I should not   reign over them.” I Sam.8:7.

8. Whose word will ultimately be vindicated, GOD'S or

     man's?

Jeremiah 44:28  Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, ________  ________  _________  _________  ________  __________, ________,  ____  __________.

Romans 3:3,4  For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, _____  ______  ____  _______, ______  _________  ______  ___  _______; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

         Once Satan secured the church's rejection of the basis of Satan’s war against GOD, he was free to bring in all manner of “seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” (I Tim.4:1).  This is turn has created a coalition among the world’s religions to join his mutiny against the Ten Commandments of Jesus Christ.  This is the same rebellion that existed in the days of our father, Noah.  That ancient civilization claimed obedience to “love thy neighbor as thyself” just as the Jews claimed in Christ’s day and our religious leaders claim today.  They also claimed obedience to the Commandments of GOD, just as the Jews of Christ’s day and our leaders do today.  And yet the Bible warned that very few under their watch-care would receive the eternal inheritance promised of GOD.  And so it is today.  In summation: their defiance of GOD’S Holy Law lies at the very heart of sin.

         To trust your eternal life into the hands of another, when historically, that holy trust has been betrayed generation after generation, this places your salvation in jeopardy, along with those you care for and love.  In the days of our father Noah, before the earth was destroyed by water, the government leaders, priests, and the common man were all sincere in what they believed.  The message of our father Noah was as clear then as it is today: Repent from every life-destroying sin.  For one hundred and twenty years they heard this message from Noah [and others who were laid to rest before the great flood (Isa.57:1,2)].  Even Enoch, “the seventh from Adam,” a man who “walked with GOD” was publicly witnessed to be taken up to heaven [as was the prophet Elijah in later centuries (Gen.5:24; II Ki.2:1-15)].  Enoch’s translation to Glory was a testimony heralded throughout the Antediluvian civilization appealing to all men to turn from sin; for the reward of eternal life given to Enoch was promised to be given to all men if they would truly serve one another through obedience to GOD’S Holy Law.  

         The simple but invaluable lesson of Christ is this: Friends who disobey GOD’S Law are not your friends.  Governments that disobey GOD’S Law are unfit to govern anyone.  And religious men who likewise disobey do not serve GOD regardless of the mingling of their good works while baptizing souls into living a life of sin (Matt.12:50).

9. Are there miracles of satanic origin in the evangelical and

     charismatic churches seducing men to remain in sin?

I Corinthians 14:27,28  If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most three, and that by course; and _____  _____  ____________.  But ____  __________  ____  ____  ________________ let him ________  ____________ in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

The book of Revelation describes in profound detail the unholy marriage of Christianity with the ancient spiritualism of pagan idolatry (Rev.16:13), and how this union of heavenly truth with Satan’s corrupting power is sweeping multitudes of Christians away from Christ's Presence and Guidance, leading them to literally turn to Satan for their salvation.  There are many miracles employed by Satan to lure GOD'S dear children away from the plain “Thus saith the LORD.”  Many of these displays of miraculous power stand dangerously close to the guidelines of Scripture.  Jesus warned His disciples of how these “subtil” deviations from Bible guidelines threaten to “deceive the very elect” (Matt.24:24).

The leading miracles employed by Satan to deceive the church are today's manifestations of “tongues,” “slain in the spirit,” and “the word of knowledge.”  While there are rare occurrences of the true use of miracles through the power of Christ, these counterfeits of the “spiritual gifts” have commandeered the allegiance of most Christian leaders and their congregations.  And the spirit that is invited into their souls is not the Holy Ghost but that of demons!  And thus, demon possession is being pawned off as Christ’s manifestation.

When it comes to “tongues” every major religion of earth claims the gift: in Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sorcery and Witchcraft (Voodoo, Obeah, Santeria, Juju), etc.  There is no traceable difference between today’s evangelical Christians and the tongue-speaking followers of the occult—for GOD cannot be complicit to the eternal death of anyone (Ja.1:13).

It is therefore apparent that the spirit behind today's 'tongues' is identical between today's charismatic Christianity and the world’s heathen religions.  But how do we verify this?

1. The clear distinction between the true and the false set by the Apostle Paul in I Corinthians 14 should be obeyed in every heart as the LORD admonished: “turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.” Josh.1:7. 

2. There are many testimonies from Christians who GOD delivered from the occult.  When they turned to Christ, they soon recognized the identical spirit between their previous religion and today’s evangelical Christianity.  Other testimonies include people who witnessed tongue speaking Christians curse the name of Jesus Christ in Chinese or other languages.  An American Indian gave testimony of how a tongue-speaking Christian was cursing that Indian’s own mother in his native tongue!  While other testimonies include feelings identical to being drunk and other forms of intoxication.  Even extreme sensual experiences such as sexual orgasms have been experienced and reported. The flesh has no part of the Spirit.  Paul emphatically and repeatedly warned of this: “But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.” Rom.13:14.

10. Is it true, as some ministers assert, that you must speak

       in ‘tongues’ to prove that you have the Holy Spirit?

I Corinthians 12:4-11  Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; (v.10) To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another ______  _____  ___  ________; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

The popular doctrine of ‘tongues’ is in partnership with two other, equally Unbiblical doctrines: ‘Slain in the Spirit’ and ‘The Gift of Knowledge.’  It must be understood that every miracle of Satan is designed to keep Christians illiterate to Scripture guidelines, and thus, keep the sinner bound to their sin against the Ten Commandments, thereby leaving them to stand condemned before Jesus Christ on “the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.”  

America’s most popular display of miraculous power today: “slain in the spirit,” must come under one of only three reasons given in Scripture for the loss of strength in the Presence of Divinity:

1. Decisive rebellion against Jesus Christ. Examples: the mob of thugs arresting Christ at the garden of Gethsemane; and the Roman guards at the tomb of Christ (Jn.18:4-6; Matt.28:2-4). 

2. Direct vision from GOD, teaching the needed foreknowledge to prepare His children for future events, or commanding an appeal be made to His vulnerable children who have gone astray, warning of the consequences should they remain on this chosen path and the promise of blessing for the obedient. Examples: Hab.2:2; Dan.10:8,17-19. Another example is found in the life of Saul (before his new name, Paul), while on his mission of persecution against Christians (Acts 9:4,5).  

         3. Demon possession. Examples: Lu.8:28; Mk.3:11.

This popular doctrine exhibiting supernatural power in the churches must come under one of the above reasons for the loss of strength in the Presence of Divinity.  Which is it?  Demon possession is the only possible explanation, for the other two have no association with the churches use of this power.  As with the gift of tongues, every major religion of earth advocates the gift of being ‘slain in the spirit,’ including Voodoo; again with no traceable difference between Present-day Christianity and the heathen religions.

In addition, there is no testimony from Christ, His Apostles, or the Prophets of Old that provides a single example of these “of the flesh” manifestations.  Therefore, they stand in opposition to the Bible, and those who “walk in the spirit” (Gal.5:25).  While they display a loftier power over the average man, GOD warns that their chosen course of turning to Satan for power and blessing is leading them to ruin.  In summation, multitudes of professing Christians are being deceived to desire only the power of Christ and not the character of Christ.  GOD’S true character can only be revealed by an unwavering duty to honor “The Word.”  The admonition of Paul is ignored by the priests and through them the congregations: “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie” [allowing Satan to work his deceptive magic before their eyes] that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” II Thess.2:12.  And the leading reason for men’s disloyalty to Jesus Christ is found in the previous verse: “They received not the love of the truth that they might be saved.” II Thess.2:10. 

These devilish displays of supernatural power will be the leverage to prod today’s churches to legislate into federal law their ancient sins of pagan worship.  And they will be reinforced with the devils impersonations of Christ, His Apostles, holy angels, the Virgin Mary, and the dead Catholic Saints. 

Historical fact: the Roman Catholic Church's long history of arrogant brutality was interrupted by the Reformation and America’s constitutional liberties.  But with Satan’s deceiving miracles, the pope of Rome is about to have a revival of civil authority through uniting Rome and Protestantism with the spiritual witchcraft that has usurped all authority in the churches, even to the overruling of the words of Christ.  Make no mistake: it is Satan's authority as “the prince of this world” that is paving the way for Renegade Christianity to take the throne of human government (Rev.13) and renounce Christ’s command forbidding religious tyranny (Lu.22:25,26).  This final display of religious tyranny will lead the world to global ruin (Rev.16), which in turn will usher Christ’s 2nd Advent and His deliverance of the Bible literate, law abiding saints (Isa.25:9).

The LORD intends for His faithful children to stand together through that most testing and difficult time in the end, and see the Saviour coming in the clouds of heaven to deliver them from both the death-decree of corrupt churchmen and the secularist’s global destruction of life (Rev.13:15; 11:18).

In closing: A young man who lived next door to me was infected with the AIDS virus.  He went to see Benny Hinn to be healed of his terminal disease.  And when he went forward at the altar call he was ‘slain in the spirit,’ and then was promised that he was healed of his disease.  He went home rejoicing, believing he was healed.  He died shortly thereafter.

         Lastly, there’s the ‘word of knowledge’ doctrine.  This is simply the ancient witchcraft of being a medium for demons, as the popular psychic, Sylvia Browne who has gained the trust of thousands.  It has no Scriptural reference at all outside of GOD’S warning of the condemnation that awaits all spiritualists (Deut.18:9-13).  It is used as a healing ministry, where the minister describes an ailment of some afflicted soul watching TV (or sitting in the congregation), promising their healing, without knowing them, without seeing them, and without verification of what their saying is actually true.  Although some have claimed their healing through this method, the source of the healing stands outside of GOD’S ordained methods in the Bible because these ministers openly promote sin against the Sacred Law, and GOD cannot empower anyone living in sin, for that would make Him an accomplice to their destruction and all who follow them.  In addition, Christ never randomly healed anyone.  All who were healed came to Christ, and took hold of His Words whose power was transferred to them according to their faith.  

Only the Apostle Paul was given a unique gift: “And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out from them.” Acts 19:11,12.  Although Oral Roberts and others have plagiarized Paul’s unique gifts from GOD, these false shepherds have lived in open sin against Jesus Christ, encouraging others to follow their example.  GOD could never encourage their course of sin with His divine power.

         What is wise to review is that the Bible gives clear revelation that Satan can heal disease when it serves his purpose to mislead people, thereby strengthening his jurisdiction over their lives.  So, regardless of any supernatural demonstration, this is no evidence that GOD is the source of the miracle.  In summation, anyone or anything that is antagonistic to the doctrine of Christ is venturing onto Satan’s enchanted ground.  Charismatic Christians have boldly declared: "If GOD won't heal and Satan will, I'll follow Satan."  Those very words have been spoken from the lips of evangelists when pressed on the Unbiblical nature of their Christian walk.  As discussed earlier, Satan’s power and jurisdiction to create miracles and heal disease (Job 2:7; Jn.5:1-4) has infiltrated every religion of earth, and as a result, people are turning to him for their salvation, not the GOD of eternal salvation.

11. Can Satan present himself as anyone he chooses,

       perfectly impersonating the individual right down to

       their appearance and tone of voice?

I Samuel 28:7,13-15  Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor....And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. And he said unto her, What form is he of? and she said, And old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself. (v.15) _____  ____________  ________  ____  _________,  ______  ________  _______  ________________  _____,  ____  __________  _____  _____?  And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.

12. How do we know this really wasn't the prophet Samuel,

       sent of GOD to prophesy of Saul's fate of death?

Deuteronomy 18:9-13  When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire [sacrificing human life to placate an 'angry god'], or that useth divination [a psychic or fortune teller], or an observer of times [an astrologer], or an enchanter [a hypnotist], or a witch [a woman with powers given by evil spirits], (v.11) or a charmer [a user of superstitions to motivate ones success or failure], or ____  _______________  _______  ____________  _________ [gaining instruction from evil spirits], or a wizard [a man with powers given by evil spirits], or ___  __________________ [gaining prophetic insight from the dead].  [v.12] For all that do these things ______  ____  ___________________ unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. [v.13] Thou shalt be __________ with the LORD thy God.

         Saul had personal knowledge of that passage in Deuteronomy.  In essence, he (by refusing to renounce his sin) turned to Satan for salvation. This is a lesson of warning for every Christian!  Satan deceives the Christian Church to turn to him for salvation through advocating that a life of sin is acceptable service to GOD.  But it was sin that got Satan cast out of heaven.  It was sin that led Adam and Eve to be cast out of the garden of Eden.  It was sin that brought immeasurable suffering to this world.  It was sin that nailed the hands and feet of “the Son of GOD” to a tree and left Him there to die.  So all who refuse to separate from sin will be held as accomplices to the murder of GOD Himself.  Said Christ, “Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” “Except ye repent” “ye shall die in your sins.” Jn.8:34; Lu.13:3; Jn.8:24. 

         The ruling churches, in choosing to remain in the condemnation of sin, have effectively turned to Satan for salvation.  But his kingdom has no merit.  Jesus summed up His call to every man, “but if thou wilt enter life, keep the commandments.” Matt.19:17.  The Apostle John warned of the Vatican’s total disregard of the Savior’s many warnings to avoid sin: "He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." I Jn.2:4.

         Scripture even tells of Satan’s personal appearance as a holy angel when he approached Jesus in the wilderness, pretending to be a holy angel while tempting the Savior to commit sin (Matt.4:1-11).  The Lord even warned that Satan would come pretending to be Christ Himself: “Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.  Behold, I have told you before.  Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.  For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matt.24:23-27.  This prophecy of Satan mimicking Jesus is yet to be fulfilled; and when it occurs the whole Christian world will bow in adoration before him regardless of the Bible’s description of Christ’s return where He remains in the sky and His angels harvest the earth.  Nevertheless the counsel given by the Chief Apostate will prod the whole world to despise Christ’s obedient church: “they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” Rev.14:12.  This will intensify the momentum of the final religious tyranny hiding behind the Good Name of Jesus Christ.  As a result of this world union of persecution against the saints, the world will swiftly come to an end (Rom.9:28).

13. What is the result of the church's disregard for the

       reproof of GOD?

Proverbs 1:24-30  Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof. I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; (v.27) When your fear cometh ____  ________________, and your ________________ cometh as a whirlwind; when ____________ and ___________ cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: (v.29) For that they _________ ________________, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

Amos 8:11,12 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD God, that I will send ____  _____________ in the land, ______ a famine of bread, ______ a thirst for water, ______ of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall ______  ____  ______  ______  ____  _________  _____  ________  ____  _____  _________, and shall not find it.

14. What action does the church take in pursuing a course of

       disobedience and ultimately one of self-destruction?

John 16:2  They shall put you out of the ________________ [or

churches]: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that _____  ________  ______  _____________.

Revelation 13:11-18  And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed [remember the "sword" of General Berthier removing the pope’s civil authority?]. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth, by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had a wound by a sword, and did live. (v.15) And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast _________  ____  _________. (v.16) And he causeth _____, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

         As we reviewed earlier, every great scholar of the Reformation pointed to the Roman Catholic Church as the “beast” of Revelation 13:1-10.  And the pope was always considered the Great Antichrist of Bible prophecy: “Forbidding to marry” (as the papal priesthood vows celibacy), “commanding to abstain from meats” (as the Friday abstinence); setting out to mercilessly and relentlessly “make war with the saints,” where “they shall fall by the sword [through Rome’s puppetry of militant dictators (Justinian, Clovis, Charlemagne, William the Conqueror, King Henry II, Bloody Mary, etc.) under the explicit command of the pope "to eradicate vice from the field of the Lord"—Pope Adrian IV)]; and by flame [such as the great Bible scholars, John Huss and John Tyndale, who were burned at the stake along with countless others], by captivity [such as the Spanish Inquisition, where “The purest, the most refined, and the most intelligent were chained, in horrible torture, amidst robbers and assassins” (Reference, Wylie, b.22, ch.6)], and by spoil [“divide the land for gain” (Dan. 11:39)], many days” [“forty and two months” equaling 1,260 years (Nu.14:34; Rev. 13:5)].  

         Martin Luther publicly declared his denunciation of “the pope,” to “hold him forth as Antichrist.”  This backbone of the Protestant Reformation has been surgically removed from the knowledge of men!  The Great Antichrist of Bible prophecy whose “number is the number of a man…Six hundred threescore and six” (or 666) only fits one man throughout Christian history: the pope of Rome. “Vicarious felii Dei” (Latin for Deputy of the Son of GOD) has always been the pope's official title.  When added up in the three Biblical languages of Hebrew, Greek, and Latin, in each of those languages the pope’s title adds up to 666.  Tie that in with Rome as the last of earth's ruling kingdoms specified in Daniel 2 and 7 along with the church's ugly history of tyranny for 1,260 years as prophesied seven times in Scripture (Dan. 7:25, 11:33, 12:7; Rev. 11:2, 12:6, 12:14, 13:5), and no mistaken identity can be made.  GOD forewarned His children of the great betrayal against Jesus Christ, His sacrifice, His Law and His salvation by the Roman Catholic Church.
