“And he [Jesus] looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.” Luke 21:1-4.

     This little lady who lived a most modest life, having no luxuries, and no husband to care for her, gave to the cause of GOD all she had in her possession. Even though the system of pharisaical Judaism was corrupt to the core, even to the point of Christ telling the religious leaders, “The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof” (Matt.21:43), the condemnation that was to come upon the religious leaders did not apply to this little lady; oh no. All she knew was that she loved GOD and believed in honoring Him as best she could. And there was no sin in this. She had no part in the theft, lies, or murder that worked against the purposes of the kingdom of GOD.

     This lesson opens a broad range of dynamics in how GOD judges among men. And the sheer genius of GOD’S plethora of ways to work salvation in the lives of His children are as astonishing as is the character of His self-emptying love displayed in the life of Jesus Christ. Despite this wonder, among the leading stumbling blocks in both the Christian and unbelieving world today deals with a certain principle that GOD holds as dear to His Heart but man historically has always bucked at it. It deals with the spirit of the heart and not the outward appearance. And we’re not talking about getting away with committing crime or some ungodly deed, but rather the simple cause and effect of how people are raised, educated, and forced to live under circumstances that are not their first choice: everything from prostitution to card dealers at casinos. GOD’S work in the Earth is always for the deliverance of His children from sin, and never their condemnation. “God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.” Ja.1:13. “For the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” I Sam.16:7. Jesus also confirms the sole purpose of GOD’S work in the Earth, “Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” Matt.20:28. The wrath of GOD is reserved for Satan and his demon angels who lead men to every form of crime and abuse 24/7 that the news media makes tens of millions of dollars by glorifying the daily crimes of men, while the more heinous crimes against humanity go completely unattended. And those who choose to stand with Satan in perpetuating these sins, with all their tentacles afflicting every creature on Earth, their free choice is determining their fate, as it is written, “The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty.” Ex.34:6,7.

     GOD’S Word conveys the most profoundly beautiful guideline of man’s salvation. And this passage of GOD’S personal judgment on His deliverance from sin addresses the legal aspect of how He has the right to redeem the soul from death and dwell in that person’s heart: to guide, to share His heavenly wisdom, to comfort, and to inspire love, patience and forgiveness toward our fellow man:

“Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it. Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right; If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die. None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live. Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal. When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby. But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby. Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.” Eze.33:12-20.

     This declaration of GOD’S legal right to forgive the souls of men is imperative for today’s Christian to understand.

     Without exception, GOD offers to everyone His Presence. But as the Perfect Gentleman He never imposes Himself over the will. He waits for the invitation to come and show His Glorious manners that will reveal the character of heaven vs. that of this world. And the contrast between the two will shock the soul when His Light exposes the darkness that rules the world. Accompanying His Presence is the Love that always seeks the others wellbeing. This free gift is offered to all: being ordained of heaven as the means for man’s supreme happiness in both a sinful world and the world to come. True joy is found in giving not taking. The world refuses this foundation of government. Nevertheless, you and I, the weakest of the weak can demonstrate the same Love to our fellow man that drew GOD Himself to redeem our fallen race. We find examples of this Love in little pockets throughout the world where people’s unselfish character shines in the darkness of misconception and sin, many of whom are outside the auspices of Christianity. Many have even rejected today’s Christianity based on abuses evident within the organized religion and the nation that claims to live by it, but these have not rejected the Spirit of GOD’S drawing love. GOD knows His own from every walk of life and will gather them in the end of time (Rom.2:14,15). The redeemed will be surprised who is in heaven and who is not (I Sam.16:7).

     It is this Love that the world is waiting for a true demonstration of, and they will not leave the destructive ways of the world until this is witnessed in a grand and sincere way; and they are told not only of the ease of GOD’S Presence in their lives but also the reward for those who live in agreement with GOD’S Love, as exhibited in GOD’S Simple Laws: the Ten Utopian Laws promoting the Godly Love that alone secure our personal safety with one another (Rom.13:10). GOD is preparing the way for one last demonstration of this Love; and it will shine in the midst of the rise of religious tyrants who will only work to oppose it (Rev.18:1-4). These power-hungry men are nothing more than religious bigots in the service of Satan, not Jesus Christ (Jn.8:44,47). As a result of their sinful occupation, united with every indecent and treacherous authority that is destroying the earth, slavery will return and the blood of martyrs will be shed. It will be just as aforetime when the Christian faith first appeared on the world scene and the power of GOD’S Love attended it. And the response of the religious leaders determined to stir up the hatred of mobs against those who are sharing nothing more than “the gospel of the kingdom” with the final warning of Jesus: “Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.” (Rev.18:4,5). But the shedding of martyrs’ blood will water the seeds of salvation for many who behold this “revival” of religious tyranny, and witness the saints’ response of heavenly love and lack of retaliation toward their persecutors. These discerning souls will then take their stand on the side of Christ and His Holy Law; for they will recognize that if The Ten Commandments were honored none of this abuse would be taking place.

     The Bible contains the perfect instruction for all, in preparation for these coming events: "Seek ye out of the book of the LORD and read: no one of these shall fail." Isa.34:16. But most people, both in and out of the church refuse to harness truth on their own and they turn to their leaders for answers. This is a laziness that must be overcome if the believer is to stand in the days ahead when the closing scenes unfold. It has been the work of most professed Christians to seek confirmation to live a sinful life. Having one foot in the world, and one foot in the church, the sinful heart naturally gravitates to the carnal and not the spiritual life. Many a Christian when shown the error of his way from a plain "Thus saith the LORD" will reject what the Bible says and seek to work out how to justify their rebellion. The Bible says to do the opposite: "Lean not unto thine own understanding" and "Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help." Prov.3:5; Ps.146:3. The Bible leads us to the same Holy Scriptures that led Jesus Christ to the Cross and held Him there until His death: "To the law [the Ten Commandments] and to the testimony [the written Word of GOD]: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Is.8:20.

     If the most simple teaching of GOD’S salvation is rejected by the leaders of Christianity what of the "weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faith?" (Matt.23:23) How many more could have been brought to the kingdom of heaven if the Bible doctrines of salvation were presented in the purity of truth without the cancerous sapping of spiritual blackmail, pagan philosophy and mystical allegories applied to Scripture. Because of this unjust and mystical rubbish, presented to the whole world as GOD’S will, most ministers of the church do not understand the rudiments of the Gospel and how the Bible must forever remain to them as a sealed book, because so many rudiments of salvation have been buried under “the tradition of men” and replaced with arrogant declarations from unconverted sinful men. The ignorance of previous generations is no excuse for today’s rebellion against Biblical truth.

     Jesus said the "sons and daughters of GOD" will "suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation." Lu.17:25. "Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they [the religious leaders] have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept My saying [drawn from the Holy Scriptures], they will keep yours also [who also speak according to the Word of GOD]. But all these things will they do unto you for My name's sake, because they know not Him that sent Me." Jn.15:20-21. The Savior spoke those words referring to the ministers and theologians of the church who merely masquerade as the servants of GOD. As it was then, so it is today: the popular doctrines lead the Biblically illiterate class of men to a sure destruction (Matt.24:24).

     But the ugly doctrines of the church, which have blinded a certain class of men will be the very means used of GOD to call men from darkness to His wonderful light. It will be the impetus for others to see and follow the Spirit of GOD Who always affirms the Bible’s Sacred Law of Salvation: the Ten Commandments, and the love that is demonstrated through maintaining allegiance to those simple laws of life’s security and perpetuation. It is through this that Christ is beheld and cherished as when He displayed His power before men: “The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” Matt.11:5,6.
