“Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?” “And then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” “For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” Amos 5:18-20; Matt.24;30; Rev.6:17.

     When it comes to the manner of Christ’s return the whole Christian world is being played the fool. The epic event of history that leads to His coming is the battle of Armageddon. And its cause and conclusion is not what ministers from John Hagee to Hal Lindsey declare it to be. A “peace and safety” message is being given to the churches that betrays the congregations, and robs from them the knowledge of the sequence of events that lead to the LORD’S return. And when their expectations are not met, they will abandon Jesus just as His disciples did on the night of the last supper.

     All we have to do is to look at what the “false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ” are feeding the flocks (II Cor.11:13). We can liken the spiritual food the ministers are feeding their congregations to the quality of nutrition found in today’s junk food. Here are just a few examples:

     The “secret rapture,” what does it teach? A calm expectation for the believers who confidently wait to be taken off the Earth by Jesus’ 'secret advent,' and not what Jesus Himself described for His coming, with “a great sound of a trumpet” where "every eye shall see him," as (Matt.24:31; Rev.1:7). At a prophecy conference back in the 90’s where Hal Lindsay had the No.1 seat among the prophecy gurus, he described a little of his belief in the seven year tribulation, telling of the horrors that are to come; and concluded with a mocking laughter, “I’m not going to be here!” Cheers and applause followed. Pat Robertson also showed his true character (spirit) when he described the coming battle in the Middle East as he mockingly laughed while saying the words, “Its going to be a bloodbath!”

     Not one verse even hints at a secret snatching away of the church before what they call the “seven year tribulation.” Do you know where this doctrine came from? And how far back it dates? It assaults the most important prophecy declaring Christ on the Cross of Calvary by removing the Glory due to Christ in Daniel 9:27, and replacing Him with a fabricated Antichrist of the future. This whole scenario is a counter-reformation doctrine of the Jesuit Order dating back to 1575, when the Jesuit, Francisco Ribera connived this doctrine to remove the united stance of every scholar of the reformation pointing to the pope of Rome as the Great Antichrist of Bible prophecy. And the whole Christian world has followed this lie: hook, line, and sinker!

     Then there’s the other ruling doctrine concerning the 144,000, where it is said that GOD will convert to the Christian faith this number from the twelve tribes in today’s land of Israel, and they will finish the Gospel commission that Christ assigned to His church. And so, once more, the Christian is told to sit on his duff and wait for GOD to wake up the Jews and they will finish the work of GOD on the Earth. For the Bible student to believe this scenario as trustworthy is to deny the foundation on which the book of Revelation is structured:

1. It continues the chronological history from the book of Daniel and provides greater detail of last kingdom of world history, Rome, and her maniacal lust for power whether secretly or openly.

2. It denies the format of study for the Bible student, where the LORD said at the outset: “he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John” (Rev.1:1). The word, “signified” means “by signs" or "symbols.” The symbolic language used throughout the book of Revelation can only be understood through the knowledge that over half its verses are drawn from Old Testament passages. Therefore, any “New Testament Christian” who ignores the contribution from the Old Testament, not only to their knowledge of salvation, but also the LORD’S lessons on sanctifying the soul into the likeness of Christ (Who Himself relied on the Old Testament for His guidance, faith, and assurance) shuts the door on having correct expectations in how Bible prophecy plays out in end time events.

     Both the secret rapture and 144,000 doctrines draws a spiritual lethargy and laziness in the life of the Christian. Based on these lies and others promoted by the church the world over, it becomes instantly obvious that Christ will not come under these conditions but will follow the charted course that Scripture has set for His coming.

     Lastly, the notion that the battle of Armageddon takes place in the tiny valley of Meggido, where the vast armies of Russia and China invade the Middle East and attack the nation state of Israel, is like saying that the manner of warfare will revert back to the style of warfare 3000 years ago with bows, chariots and horsemen. And once again, the Christian is not urged to consider sin as the reason for the final battle that the Bible says will usher the 2nd Advent of Jesus Christ.

     It has always been about sin. And it will always be about sin. Here are the ten steps ushering the 2nd Advent of Jesus Christ:

1. America legislates a National Sunday Law in defiance to GOD’S “holy day” “the LORD’S day” “the seventh day...Sabbath” of the 4th Commandment (Ex.16:26, 20:8-11; Isa.58:13; Rev.1:10)

2. National ruin swiftly comes as a result of this apostasy, which
“maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men” (Rev.13:13; Deut.28:15-68): where these destructive judgments fall on the mansions of the wealthy and the business districts who serve insatiably greedy men; along with other judgments from GOD’S arsenal of nature, which will be carried out against the concentrated wickedness in the cities (Hos.8:14; Amos 1:1-2:5) fulfilling the words of David: “It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.” Ps.119:126

3. Fearing the total annihilation of human civilization today’s “Christian” leaders take complete control over the civil affairs assuring the people of GOD’S protection if they submit to their authority

4. GOD’S faithful children warn the world of the dangers of allowing disobedient men to rule, citing the blessing of eternal life for those who live under GOD’S Holy Law

5. The Ark of the Covenant, containing the sacred tables of GOD’S Ten Commandment Law, is restored to public exhibition at the time the Spirit of Christ is speaking through His servants lips (Isa.57:19; Matt.10:19,20) one last appeal to a disobedient church (Revelation 18:1-5) revealing GOD’S perfect Law of government and the consequence for mankind’s rejection of it

6. Satan counterfeits the second coming “with all power and signs and lying wonders” (Matt.24:23-27; Gal.1:8) demanding the world honor his law of Sunday, the world’s oldest pagan idol

7. Ruling Christianity responds by legislating persecution against those who give GOD’S final warning, increasing the civil fines and penalties until finally death is decreed (Rev.13:15,17)

8. Everyone makes up their mind in their relationship with the Ten Commandment Law (Rev.22:11); and man’s probation for salvation closes

9. The Seven Last Plagues: GOD’S vengeance on the world who have united to force His faithful children into sin or die (Rev.16)

10. Christ comes to put an end to the threat, and harvests the earth of every faithful person throughout the ages (Rev.3:11)

     The Apostle John fully understood the weight of Scripture heralding the 2nd Advent of Jesus Christ. He knew the devastation and loss of life that would precede Christ’s coming. And after all was written in this last book of the Holy Bible, John said, “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” Rev.22:20.
