Luke 22:25,26 The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. But ye shall not be so.

     These words were Christ’s explicit command for His church to never lord authority over their fellow man.

     The carnal mind is always dangerous. And the Bible asserts that carnal Christians are the most dangerous. Throughout history, churchmen have stood as defiant against GOD, His love and His salvation as did pharaoh of Egypt when he said, “Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice…I know not the LORD...” Ex.5:2. The long history of the Roman church’s persecution of the Waldensian Christians exemplifies the cruel spirit of tyranny that is so readily unleashed when opportunity presents itself. Some of the stories of cruelty are so gruesome that only GOD can measure the wickedness of the atrocities carried out by the papists against these humble mountain Christians who carried the apostolic banner through the Reformation era of the church. This history has been completely lost sight of. And its removal is by design, as is all truth that GOD has given that blesses men, women and children, whether of cures for cancer or inventions providing free energy for every citizen. This is the core character of man’s sinful nature, and it will not change “until Shiloh come” (Gen.49:10). This is why the saints patiently wait for Christ’s 2nd Advent, “that we may be also glorified together” (Rom.8:17).

     In light of the ease by which the church can unleash her fury there is lesson from Christ’s day that Bible prophecy asserts will have its counterpart in our day. “Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation. And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad. Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death. Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.” Jn.11:47-54.

     The Jews believed that should Jesus be allowed to live, their nation would perish. So, under the pretext of saving their nation they determined to murder “the Son of God.” In this, we can see a parallel to our day in the prophecies describing the final tyranny leading to Armageddon. Today, America is progressively being backed into a corner. Many fear for the survival of this land. And because Catholics and Protestants alike stand firm in their belief that holding Sunday sacred is vital to human survival plans have been made and even legislated into the federal law, Emergency Powers, that should something come along to threaten the existence of our nation it is believed that imposing a federal law enforcing Sunday sacredness will stay the threat.

     There’s a huge problem with this thinking. It has no sanction whatsoever in the Bible. In fact, the authority of the 4th Commandment pointing every man to Christ as Creator, of which over 800 verses of Scripture verify to be His leading attribute, has been usurped by the pope for the last 1,700 years through his removing the 7th day Sabbath rest of Jehovah, and calling the world to rest on his day, the 1st day, claiming the divine authority to remove Christ and substitute himself in His place. As the Bible prophesied, in blasphemy he openly declares the change of solemnity from Sabbath to Sunday: "And he shall think to change times and laws" (Dan.7:25).

"If protestants would follow the Bible, they should worship God on the Sabbath Day, that is Saturday. In keeping Sunday they are following a law of the Catholic Church."—Albert Smith, chancellor of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, replying for the cardinal in a letter of Feb. 10, 1920.

The Catholic Church protests that it transferred Christian worship from the biblical Sabbath (Saturday) to Sunday, and that to try to argue that the change was made in the Bible is both dishonest and a denial of Catholic authority.      In light of this, let’s get our bearings in accordance with safe-Scripture-guidelines. "The LORD’S day" (Rev.1:10) is the seventh-day Sabbath (Is.58:13) not the first-day. In many reference Bibles, the margin-reference for "The LORD’S day" erroneously takes you to Acts 20:7 where it says, "And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight." Just look at the context: 1. This meeting was on Saturday night, not Sunday morning, because the Bible defines the new day to begin at sundown, not at midnight as is held today (Gen.1:5). 2. There is no association between Paul’s Bible study (after the day’s Sabbath devotions) and Sunday sacredness.

     The heart of the issue is this: the Roman church absorbed the pagan tradition of the roman god, Attis, who, before the rise of Rome was Apollo in Greece; and before Greece this same sun god was Mithra (meaning Lord), the sun god of Persia and ruler of the Zodiac, whose day of worship, Sunday, was called "the lord’s day." This ancient pagan tradition was absorbed into the religion of the papacy. Sunday sacredness has been traced archaeologically to ancient Egypt. And legend carries it all the way back to Nimrod and the Tower of Babel.

     Sunday sacredness is the world’s oldest tradition of pagan idolatry and open sin against GOD’S Holy Law, whose origin lies in the worship of Nimrod (Gen.10:9,10); who, ancient legend says, ascended to the sun after he died (Hislop, The Two Babylons). Sun/Nimrod worship is found in every ancient culture and continent of the earth, whose traditions of sun worship, mother worship, witchcraft, prayers to the dead, incantations, the sacrificing of human life, and miracles manifest of demons [of which the pharaoh of Egypt witnessed with no excitement (Ex.7:8-11)], became the predominant doctrines in the Roman church. GOD condemns the church’s claim of His approval to any doctrine that secures the destruction of His children, whether of Sunday sacredness or declaring immortality to little children in the fires of hell.

     The Roman church has taken a hammer and chisel to the Law of GOD. To cloak their removal of GOD’S 2nd Commandment: the one commandment containing the word “mercy” (Ex.20:6), the last of the Holy Laws of Jehovah, the 10th Commandment, had to be divided into two commandments; otherwise, people would be saying, "I thought there were ten."

     The Catholic Catechism verifies the arrogance of Rome against the Sacred Law of GOD. Here is their version of the closing commandments: "9) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife; 10) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods."—Baltimore Catechism No.3, p.115. In essence, Rome has always lusted for the power of GOD but not His character, and have created the lawlessness that The Bible gives several prophecies that through Rome’s influence around the world she would bring all life to ruin.

     But the Holy Law of GOD is from everlasting to everlasting. It is "The Testimony" of His Character of Love (Rev.11:19). It reveals the perfect rule of Government (Jn.15:10). The Bible says it is GOD’S "Testimony" in both the Ark of The Covenant, (still hidden in Jeremiah’s grotto, but not for long) as well as the Ark in the very Temple of Heaven (Ex.26:34; Rev.15:5). Christ dying on the Cross of Calvary, bearing the punishment for the sins of the world, fulfills the promise of “mercy” in the 2nd Commandment (Ex.20:6). GOD’S very “mercy” Rome claims the divine authority to remove. This does not seem to be understood today. The evidence of Rome’s defiance against GOD and Jesus Christ has filled volumes. But there is a strange silence among churchmen on these things.

     It was man’s original transgression of GOD’S Law that brought death to the earth. It was Christ’s obedience to that law that brought our deliverance! GOD’S law commanded our salvation, and our obedience to it assures our salvation! Jesus verifies this: "But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." "If ye love Me keep My commandments." Matt.19:17; Jn.14:15. This is the only way the Holy Spirit can have the legal right to dwell in the soul of the believer (Is.59:2; Rom.8:11). “Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” Rom.8:9.

     But GOD looks at the hearts of His children (I Sam.16:7) and the righteousness of Jesus covers every ignorant sin (Nu.15:28). But GOD warns to never use the liberty of Christ as a license to remain in sin: “But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.” Nu.15:30,31.

     So why is the church at war with the very Law that both honors Christ and protects human beings? "Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches." "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." "Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD. Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein." Ps.73:12; I Tim.6:10; Jer.6:15,16.

     The whole issue of sin that presently dominates this world has its origin in men choosing to discard the Law that our Creator/Christ gave to bless, to guide, and protect the creatures formed by His hands. GOD cannot and will not change His Laws, either of physics or morality, simply because men demand it to be so. "The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name [not man’s: not Jerry Falwell’s, Al Sharpton’s or Jessie Jackson’s]. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever." Ps.111:7-10.

     The Bible teaches that none can have a good understanding as long as they refuse GOD’S Commandments; and ruling Christianity has rejected them for over 1700 years. Due to the church’s acceptance of a life of sin these men are unfit to govern themselves let alone anyone else; and yet, they rule the direction of the church and work in the political arena to gain an authority that Christ forbid them to have (Lu.22:25,26).

     Bible prophecy says the day is coming when they will take the throne of human government; and through their initiating religious legislation, creating a national apostasy against the Law of GOD, they will bring America to environmental, economic, and spiritual ruin (Deut.28:15-45; Ps.119:126). Rather than take responsibility for their contribution to the ruin of this land and the millions of souls deceived by them, they will point away from themselves and accuse those who obey the Holy Law of GOD. This has always been and will ever be (I Ki.18:17). Merely connect the first act of religious tyranny with that of the last: "Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him." And, "the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed." Gen.4:8; Rev.13:15.

     The churches have been deceived in the most fundamental issue of the Gospel: the call to repent from sin; and this explains why the vast majority of professed Christians will be lost as Peter warned of this fact: “And if the righteous [referring to church members] scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” I Pet.4:18. These words teach that extremely few from the tens of thousands of church congregations across America and around the world will stand with Jesus Christ in the end of time. We must understand why and how the people in the Christian church are being betrayed to believe what will never come to pass including the salvation of their souls, as Peter so clearly warned every man to take heed to this fact. In layman’s terms it is because they are being suckered by the Devil to take someone else’s opinion on salvation (based on traditions of sin, pride and prejudice) when their very soul’s salvation hangs in the balance.

     "Search the Scriptures," Christ commanded. Most Christians haven’t even read the Bible, and the majority that do study their Bibles have preconceived opinions as to what is being said based on the traditions of their upbringing. The church is filled with men who go to their knees with their minds already made up! As a result, most do not know the legal framework of GOD’S Salvation. Even the Apostles stood in the way of Christ by clinging to manmade doctrines that opposed the purposes of GOD. Jesus said: "O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken." Lu.24:25. But the simplicity of the Gospel reveals itself over and over again: "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." Jn.14:21. The commandments that Christ speaks of are none other than the Decalogue of Jehovah. “Remember,” Christ gave to the world the Ten Commandment Law: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was I am.” (Jn.8:58). And by honoring them we honor Him.
