ROME EXPUNGES THE TRUE HISTORY OF CHRIST’S CHURCH

     From the moment of Adam’s fall into sin, in every generation since, GOD has had a faithful people, including Adam, whose repentance and remorse for his sin cannot be estimated. Throughout history the number of the faithful would often be but few, but the golden thread of faith in GOD’S Word has never been broken.

     Today there is a host of theological views taught about the Bible’s end-time prophecies. And they all center on one objective: remove the pope from all Biblical condemnation and circumvent sin as the cause of Earth’s final battle of Armageddon that ushers the 2nd Advent of Jesus Christ. While this dissertation will not focus on the innumerable stories of papal tyranny we do want to connect two dots—in prophetic time: the beginning and the end of a most egregious time in human history: a time that Christ described to “be great tribulation” (Matt.24:21).

     The Bible student is wise to understand that when a prophecy is literally fulfilled there is a corresponding lesson that is timeless. And it is this repeated lesson that aids our understanding of where we are in the timeline of events.

     Many of you who have studied Daniel 9:24-27: the “seventy weeks” time prophecy, describing through simple arithmetic the coming of Jesus Christ, know how the Bible provides the exact hour, day, month and year in earth's history that the Son of GOD would lay down His life (Exodus 13:4; Leviticus 23:5; Daniel 9:27; Matthew 26:19; 27:46-50).

     Those who have also been properly taught know the great tenet of prophetic interpretation when GOD first instituted the 'one day=one year' principle that He established after the Hebrew exodus. It began when the Israelites refused to enter the promised land. For the forty days they spied out the land and then refused to enter, GOD commanded that they spend an equivalent number of years in the wilderness: “I have appointed thee each day for a year.” Eze.4:6; Nu.14:34. Because of “unbelief” the Hebrew nation spent forty years until that entire generation had passed away. Only Joshua and Caleb entered the promised land.

     It is on this foundation established by GOD Himself that we establish and fortify our understanding where one prophetic day equals one literal year in the time prophecies in the books of Daniel and Revelation.

     Let us now connect the dots of one of several time-prophecies:

"And the woman [the church of Christ (Jer.6:2)] fled into the wilderness [a land largely uninhabited], where she hath a place prepared of God [a refuge ordained of heaven], that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days [or 1,260 years (one prophetic day equals one literal year)] Rev.12:6.

     The Bible gives seven prophecies of this 1,260 year time-period when the true Church of Christ should hide for its very existence (Dan. 7:25, 11:33, 12:7; Rev. 11:2, 12:6, 12:14, 13:5). This is the precise time that the popes of Rome would wage war against all heretics, from the years 538 to 1798: from Justinian's decree granting the pope the license to wage war to Napoleon, whose decree took it away. This once common knowledge has been buried by the agents of Rome who have deceived nearly every Christian today by removing the Bible's prophecies pointing to the pope as the Great Antichrist of Bible prophecy. Time and time again these agents have been exposed as covert priests of the Jesuit Order posing as Protestants, infiltrating seminaries, universities—always working to undo GOD’S every intention to bless His children to share in the kingdom of "his only begotten Son." This most sinister espionage against the salvation of Jesus Christ is leading the whole Christian world to believe the fabrications that never address sin against the Ten Commandments as the culprit for Armageddon.

     Said Christ of the coming tyranny, "If they [the religious leaders] have persecuted me, they will also persecute you” “Yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.” “But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me." Jn.15:20;16:2;15:21.

     "A thousand two hundred and threescore days" the Commandment-keeping Church of Christ sought refuge from the tyranny of papal Rome in the wilderness regions of Europe and the East. The first large scale tyranny exercised by the Roman church through her sway over the civil leaders was when, in the 6th century, Emperor Justinian became the pope’s personal assassin:

"By an edict which he [Justinian] issued to unite all men in one faith, whether Jews, Gentiles, or Christians, such as did not, in the term of three months, embrace and profess the Catholic faith, were declared infamous, and, as such, excluded from all employments both civil and military, rendered incapable of leaving anything by will, and their estates confiscated, whether real or personal. These were convincing arguments of the truth[?] of the Catholic faith; but many, however, withstood them; and against such as did, the imperial edict was executed with utmost rigor. Great numbers were driven from their habitations with their wives and children, stripped and naked. Others betook themselves to flight, carrying with them what they could conceal, for their support and maintenance; but they were plundered of the little they had, and many of them inhumanly massacred by the Catholic peasants, or the soldiery, who guarded the passes."—Bower, The History of the Popes, Vol. 1, p. 334.

     "And they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of times." Daniel 7:25. The Bible here again teaches this period of history to last 1,260 literal years: as fulfilled from Justinian’s decree, granting the pope supreme authority in 538 A.D. until Napoleon’s general, Berthier, carried the decree of France removing all papal authority in 1798, when he entered Rome, arrested the pope, banishing him until his death (Rev.13:3). By civil decree papal rule was given, and by civil decree it was taken away. The Bible gives seven prophecies of this 1,260 year time-period when the true Church of Christ should hide for its very existence. Jesus said, "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another." Matt.10:22,23.

     History does not provide any record of cruelty greater than that manifested by Roman Catholicism toward the humble Christians called the Waldenses. It is impossible to write fully the inspiring history of this persecuted people, whose origin goes back to apostolic days and whose history is ornamented with stories of gripping interest. Rome has obliterated the records. Dr. DeSanctis, many years a Catholic official at Rome, an official Censor of the Inquisition, and later a convert to Protestantism, thus reports his conversation with a Waldensian scholar as he pointed to the ruins of Palatine Hill in Rome: "See," said the Waldensian, "a beautiful monument of ecclesiastical antiquity. These rough materials are the ruins of the two great Palatine libraries, one Greek and the other Latin, where the precious manuscripts of our ancestors were collected, and which Pope Gregory I, called the Great, caused to be burned."—DeSanctis, Popery, Puseyism, Jesuitism, p.53.

     The destruction of Waldensian records beginning about 600 A.D. by Gregory I was carried out with determined effort by the Papacy. Pope Gregory I also issued a bull against the community of Christians who obeyed the seventh-day Sabbath of the 4th Commandment in the city of Rome (Wilkinson, Truth Triumphant, p.258).

     So systematic has been the work of extermination against Christ’s true Church that the historian, Gilly had this personal testimony: "It is a singular thing," says Gilly, "that the destruction or rapine, which has been so fatal to Waldensian documents, should have pursued them even to the place of security, to which all, that remained, were consigned by Morland, in 1658, the library of the University of Cambridge. The most ancient of these relics were ticketed in seven packets, distinguished by letters of the alphabet, from A to G. The whole of these were missing when I made inquiry for them in 1823."—Gilly, Waldensian Researches, p.80.

     Imagine, an entire library, devoted to the historical existence of simple mountain Christians who never forced the will of anyone, who lived out the Ten Commandments of Christ in their godly, gallant lives, miraculously disappears from the library at the University of Cambridge. Why is the Vatican to this day so determined to remove the existence of these peoples? Because the history of the Waldenses exposes the falsified history promoting Rome as the premier Christian Church. And most importantly, Satan works to obliterate the knowledge of how the Waldensian people kept the Ten Commandments of Jesus Christ (Jn.8:58): they were obedient to GOD’S Holy Law when the Vatican exalted its pagan amalgamation above the Holy Law of Jehovah, thus serving Satan’s purpose to unify men against the very Law that has condemned him (Eze.28:16; Rev.12:17).

     This war against the Bible is what many Catholic priests discovered centuries ago at the dawn of the Reformation who then turned to obedience to GOD through His Word, becoming the great Reformers, beginning with John Wycliffe in the 1300s. The Reformation began a divorce from the pagan sins and customs of the ruling church, a divorce GOD would have greatly delighted to see its conclusion. And GOD worked through the Reformers to see the restoration of true apostolic doctrine among His people, that the words of Paul be honored: “For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews.” I Thess.2:14. But Protestants never completed their divorce from an unfaithful church, and over time Catholicism, Protestantism and Satan’s “Evangelical” witchcraft (“slain in the spirit,” pagan use of “tongues,” and the “word of knowledge”) have now united to consolidate into a three-fold union that the Bible says will usher the earth to its ruin (Rev.16:13,14). GOD cannot encourage sin in any form, “for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.” Ja.1:13. Therefore, the existing church under the banner of Rome is not led of heaven, for they work to unite all men in sin, as in the days of the tower of babel.

     In light of this open conflict, we must examine in detail the Bible prophecies outlining the steps leading to the 2nd Advent of Jesus Christ, whose coming will rescue His faithful ones from earth’s final destruction. This is why Bible prophecy was given: to provide correct expectations that we might prepare for the closing scenes and not be led away with the tide of apostasy that has infected every church denomination (without exception).

     And the Bible’s scenario is quite different than the one being handed to the Christian world today: everything from the theologically fictitious “secret rapture” and “future Antichrist” of the Left Behind series to the church doctrine declaring immortality to little children in the fires of hell. GOD will never ask you to abandon your sense of reason. And mystical modes of thought will have no part of His lessons on faith. “They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.” Prov.8:9.

     Every aspiration of the human heart: every cry of human need, GOD promises, logically and ethically, that they will be fulfilled for those who freely choose to be obedient to His Ten Commandment Law: the Law that Jesus Christ Himself recorded in the permanence of stone (Jn.8:58; Matt.19:17). Christ is the “Rock” and His Law is engraved upon it! It is GOD’S Holy Law that meets every demand for justice, mercy and love, giving no sanction for its transgression, through whose open and unashamed disregard by the Christian church “they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.” Heb.6:6. Sin murdered Jesus Christ; and all who sin “and stay thereon” (Isa.30:12) are held as accomplices to those who nailed His hands and feet to the Cross at Calvary. In the end of time GOD the Father will ask every man, “What did you do with My Son?”

     As the Jews waited for a messiah who would never come (many of whom still do) so the Christian church serves a god who cannot save. The Jews exalted the Law but rejected the Lawgiver: while Christians exalt the Lawgiver but reject His Law. And yet, the two go hand in hand. They cannot be separated, and each serves the other. The Bible teaches that to discard either is to forfeit everlasting life (Rev.14:12, 22:14—KJV only).
