JESUS WROTE WITH HIS OWN FINGER IN THE PERMANENCE OF STONE (Jn.8:58):

"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." Ex.20:8-11.

     What is so perfect about the Sabbath Rest? As GOD enters the Sabbath hours He enters a time of solemn joy. Why? Because He knows that He has provided everything that will meet the desires of His children forever. This is the essence of Christ’s words when He said, “the sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath.” Mk.2:27. GOD calls the human race to enter the joy of His rest: His rest in accomplishing everything that will bless our lives with eternal youth, vigor, peace and joy—forever. And when the selfish government of sin took dominion of this world through the deceptive ploys of Creation’s arch deceiver, Satan, GOD inaugurated the great plan of redemption to save His children; and this in turn preserved the joy of His Sabbath Rest. Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, spilling His life’s blood, the promise of eternal rest on the seventh-day was preserved. And we enter this rest knowing that the tranquility that was lost through sin will one day be restored.

     From Earth's beginning the 7th Day of the weekly cycle, [established by GOD after His creation of life (Genesis 2:1-3)], has stood as the Monument of Time set aside by GOD to the blessing of His children. Sundown Friday through Sundown Saturday through all Eternity, a special blessing is promised by GOD to those who give honor to this precious Law. The Sabbath, as with all established laws of Creation, stands inviolate. It is as perpetual as the law of gravity and as life sustaining as air, food and water.

     The Bible verifies that the seven day cycle has never changed throughout earth's history. Calendar adjustments have been made but this never interfered with the flow of days. The seven day cycle remains as the calendar of the nations. Therefore, the seventh-day (Saturday) is the same day held sacred by Jesus Christ and His Apostles (Lu.4:16; Acts 13:42), His faithful church throughout the centuries (Rev.12:6): the Waldenses, the Albigenses, the Vaudois, Patrick of Ireland, Columba of Scotland, Aiden of England, Columbanus of Europe, Lucian of Antioch, Papas of Asia, Adam of China, and of course all the prophets, Moses, Noah and of course our Premier Father Adam. Throughout time there has been a golden thread of men holding sacred this Holy Law of GOD.

     In the Bible are many precious passages that begin with “Thus saith the LORD.” Many of them describe the promise of GOD to bring utopian government to this world, giving descriptions of how our every need will be met. This is what the seventh day Sabbath is all about, to bring to every man, woman and child "rest" in GOD'S promise of this being so. Saturday sacredness is the seal of GOD'S promise. It is "the LORD'S day," as the LORD Himself said: "If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it." Isaiah 58:13,14. Although the LORD is speaking to the twelve tribes of Jacob, the promised blessing applies to all people who are loyal to GOD and His Christ. The Apostle Paul stated that all who are Christians are of the family of Abraham (Rom.2:28; Gal.3:7). The family of GOD is a Spiritual family; it is not restricted to a single bloodline. GOD'S faithful children will come from "every nation, kindred, tongue and people." And all are united in magnifying the dignity of GOD'S Holy Law just as the Savior lived and died to honor it, uphold it, defend it; and by so doing—saved the human race. The prophecy of Christ's Advent bears witness: "The LORD is pleased for his righteouness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable." Isaiah 42:21.

     Concerning the future of the faithful, GOD desires for you to have the knowledge of His prophecies of the coming world without struggle, suffering or death. They are intended to bring comfort to your life in a world that is embroiled with sin’s injustice and affliction. These prophecies build faith in GOD'S everlasting deliverance. And the prophecy of the eternal Seventh Day Sabbath is unmistakable: "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD...it shall come to pass...from one Sabbath to another shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD." Isaiah 66:22,23

     We have been given, through the Sacred Word, a description of the lifestyle of the soon coming kingdom of Jesus Christ: a kingdom without death of any kind, poverty, illness, old age, injustice, a world without anxiety, depression, intimidation—or shame. After the "lake of fire" cleansing of the Earth, and Satan with his minions "shall be ashes" (Mal.4), Jesus Christ will speak the Words, "Behold, I make all things new" (Rev.21:5).  The Earth is recreated, restored to its pristine beginning, and the redeemed will build homes, never to be rocked by earthquake, flooded by rain, taxed or taken away: homes having a level of craftsmanship that will stand forever: homes, whose inhabitants will live forever in peace. They will grow the most flavorful foods without the threat of pest, flood or drought. Their loftiest dreams will be realized. And the redeemed will live by the Law of Jesus Christ, instinctively, without remorseful determination.

     When the saints live their daily lives without the tugs of insatiable lusts and the harassing temptations of devils, no falsehood will ever be uttered, no exercise of cunning deceit for selfish gain, no invention threatening the safety and happiness of life will ever take hold, ever again. The LORD says, “Affliction shall not rise up the second time.” Nahum 1:9.

     The entire foundation of GOD’S Holy Law is simple: it stands as representative of GOD’S character whose example has been set by Jesus Christ. Through Him we see how GOD lives to one purpose and one purpose alone: to serve you and me, of which the Seventh-day Sabbath is the seal of GOD'S everlasting love and provision. The words of Jesus Christ verify the foundational doctrine of salvation: "the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." Matt.20:28. This ministering of the Savior will continue when the saints are resurrected from the dead and translated from the living, as He promised, "Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them." Lu.12:37.

The character seen in the life of Jesus Christ is identical to the character of "our Father which art in heaven:" again, as Jesus said, "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father:" "I and my Father are one." Jn.14:9;10:30. Subservient love is the law of the Universe, of which the Ten Commandments embody. And Scripture is clear: the Seventh-day Sabbath is the seal of GOD’S subservient love because how could He rest knowing the heartache, toil and death of the life He created to only receive peace and joy. Everything GOD does is for one purpose and one purpose alone: to preserve the eternal safety and happiness of life, of which the Seventh-day Sabbath is the seal of that assurance. Man is called to rest in what GOD has said will be. And when that day comes the universal tranquility of life will stand forever of which the Sabbath will forever remain as the everlasting sign.
